Dispatcher killed in barangay Guadalupe

CEBU, Philippines – A 27-year-old dispatcher was shot and killed by a man riding on a motorcycle along Salvador Ext., Banawa, barangay Guadalupe yesterday morning.

Earl Ian Potencioso, a resident of Doña Cristina, Banawa, was killed on the spot after he sustained four gunshot wounds to his body.

Nestor Abesia, 24, and James Dumajog, 22, residents of the place, narrated to the police that they and the victim were sitting on a bamboo chair at the roadside past 8 a.m. when the assailant arrived.

The assailant then approached the victim and, without apparent reason, drew an undetermined caliber of firearm and shot him several times. The assailant then sped off towards Happy Valley Street

Initial police inspection showed that the victim sustained three gunshot wounds to his chest and back of his right ear.

Four empty shells of caliber .45 were recovered by the police from the crime scene.

SPO1 Jay Yballe said there is no clear motive yet for the incident. (FREEMAN)
