CEBU, Philippines – A female suspected drug pusher in Danao City eluded arrest after an alleged look out tipped her off of the arriving police operatives to serve a search warrant.
Maria Dolores Durano Buot of Juan Luna Extension, Barangay Poblacion was able to flee from her house before the elements of the Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group arrived to serve the search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Marilyn Yap for alleged violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
Despite Buot's absence, the police proceeded to serve the warrant in the presence of the barangay officials.
The police found during the search one big pack of shabu, six longitudinal sachet of shabu, seven triangular sachet of shabu, and one plastic sachet with traces of white crystalline substance believed to be shabu.
The search was witnessed by Buot's children and barangay officials Reynaldo Tariao and Remedios Talisik.
All the evidences gathered were brought to the Philippine National Police (PNP) crime laboratory for chemical analysis while Buot is set to face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165. (FREEMAN)
