Luigi to sign MOA with VSMMC today

CEBU, Philippines – Sixth District Rep. Gabriel Luis "Luigi" Quisumbing and officials of the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center will sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) today to formalize a partnership that aims to improve the delivery of health services to residents of the sixth district.

To ensure effective and accessible medical services, Quisumbing will allocate a portion of his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) to the hospital.

Expected to attend this afternoon signing of the memorandum of agreement are Quisumbing, chief of the hospital Dr. Gerardo Aquino, and Regional director of DSWD-7 Ma. Evelyn Macapobre.

Last month, Quisumbing also signed a Memorandum of Agreement with officials of the Eversley Child Sanitarium Hospital in barangay Jagobiao, Mandaue City.

With the signing of the agreement, residents from the towns of Consolacion and Cordova and Mandaue City that are admitted to the hospital will be given immediate attention, the medical expenses to be shouldered by Quisumbing.

Beneficiaries will be properly screened.

Quisumbing has assigned personnel in the two government-run hospitals to make sure that residents from the sixth district will be given immediate attention. (FREEMAN)
