Grandfather stabs grandson
CEBU, Philippines - A 75-year-old man stabbed to death his own grandson after the latter, reportedly drunk and went wild, tried to attack him in Barangay Tomonoy, Moalboal town last Friday.
Randy Gabutero, 29, single, died of a wound on his stomach perpetrated by his grandfather, identified as Sulficio Gabutero Erena, a widow.
Investigation showed that the victim, due to his severe drunkenness, reportedly went wild inside the house of the suspect by throwing away the things inside at around 10 a.m.
The suspect warned his grandson to stop but this only made the grandson more aggressive.
Not contented, Gabutero allegedly attacked his grandfather and tried to punch him. This prompted Erena to get his bolo and stab his grandson in the stomach.
The victim was rushed to the Badian District Hospital where he died a few minutes later.
Eran voluntarily surrendered to the police and is now detained.
The grandfather told the police that Gabutero often goes wild every time he goes home drunk. (THE FREEMAN)
