2 men charged for robbery
CEBU, Philippines – Two men who were arrested at their homes last Monday morning in sitio Baybayon, barangay Looc, Mandaue City after breaking into a house and stealing things have been charged in court.
Houseowner Roma Omandan said the theft case was filed yesterday morning.
"I am serious about this. They should be penalized," Omandan said.
Janjed Bayking and Lactum Alombres, both 18 years old, were arrested by pursuing police of the Investigation and Detection Management Branch of Mandaue City Police Office.
IDMB's deputy chief Ramil Morpos said recovered from the two men were an iPhone worth P40,000, one unit digital camera worth US$250, PSP player worth P10,000, and P3,000.
Police said the men broke into Omandan's home in Ficitas Village at around 5:30 a.m.
Omandan was surprised to see upon waking up her steel gate and sliding door open, SPO1 Kerwin Bejer.
Bejer said Omandan checked for missing things in the house.
"Nahibulong siya nganong abli ang gate ug ang main door, gilungkaban na diay sila," Bejer said.
Bejer said a barangay tanod responded immediately after being informed about the incident.
The suspected thieves reside in the place. (FREEMAN)
