Lapu-Lapu to watch real estate projects

CEBU, Philippines - Lapu-Lapu City will closely monitor subdivision developers to make sure they provide good water supply to residents.

Assistant City Engineer Alan Pedrigal told reporters that before a permit is issued, developers are required to submit all plans especially the one pertaining to water supply.

The FREEMAN has heard of a number of complaints from residents of subdivisions against developers that have failed to provide good water supply.

Pedrigal said the city has not heard of any complaints but would still inspect subdivisions.

A number of land developments are going on in different barangays.

The Metro Cebu Water District has admitted that it cannot provide water supply to all consumers in Metro Cebu especially in Lapu-Lapu City. (THE FREEMAN)
