CEBU, Philippines – This year’s Bright Leaf Agriculture Journalism Awards was launched in the Visayas yesterday at the Cebu Business Hotel. Now on its fourth year, the Bright Leaf awards recognize journalists in the agricultural sector, which is very important in the country’s economy.
To be qualified for the award, journalists must be 18 years old and above, and are residing in the Philippines. Entries such as news, features and photographs must be published between June 30, 2009 and October 1, 2010.
Bright Leaf awards has 10 categories: Agricultural Story of the Year, Tobacco Story of the Year, Best Television Program or Segment, Best Radio Program or Segment, Agricultural Photo of the Year, Tobacco Photo of the Year, Best Regional News Story, Best National News Story, Best Regional Features Story, and Best National Features Story.
Print and photo entries can be submitted through the mail or uploaded in the website: thebrightleafawards.com.
