Korean loses golf stuff to thieves

- Edmund C. Monisit -

CEBU, Philippines - A Korean national lost his golf equipment he had left in his car while parked in the park bay of a mall in Mandaue City last Sunday evening.

Kim Yonggi, 31, told police he lost a golf bag that contained golf clubs, golf gloves, a pair of golf shoes, and 20 golf balls, all worth US$2,000.

He said he had gone to the mall to buy cigarettes. He found his car open when he came back, police said.

The police said the security guard at the parking area didn’t notice anyone breaking into the car.

Records at the theft and robbery section of the Mandaue City police show that it is the second theft that has been committed in a mall this month. (THE FREEMAN)
