Photo exhibit to benefit autistic kids

CEBU, Philippines - The Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Cebu and the Rotary Club of Cebu Fuente launched their “Click for Autism” photo exhibit that ran from July 29 until July 31 at SM City.

This fund-raising activity is for the Special Children with autism wherein the proceeds of the photo exhibits that were done by amateur photo enthusiasts at the Bureau of Customs will go to the Responsible Education for Autistic Children Center.

The event, which was graced by newly-assumed BOC Commissioner Angelito Alvarez, is also part of the celebration of Disability Month last July.

Personnel from the BOC who joined the photo exhibits are Arneth Von Carmen Manquiquis, Atty. Dante Maranan, Bonie Abie Custodio, Shirley Abarintos, Yvonne Herrero, Wivina Pumatong, Corazon Carnicer, Alfredo Nagac, Jr. Florante Ricarte, Jeffrey Alindogan, Babeth dela Llagas and Enrico Mongaya.

These amateur photo enthusiasts had international photographer Ted Madamba as their mentor.

The subjects of the photo exhibits are mostly scenic places in Cebu, Bohol and Dumaguete City. The photos range from P2,000 to P5,000 each.

This activity also highlights the BOC’s 124th Founding Anniversary in Cebu.   (FREEMAN NEWS)
