CEBU, Philippines - A man was killed while he was sleeping in a corner of a billiards hall in sitio Marfa in barangay Bakilid, Mandaue City yesterday dawn.
Christopher Creo, 27, single, and a resident of the place, was asleep at around 2 o'clock dawn yesterday when a motorcycle with two men on it stopped by the roadside, witnesses said.
One of the men got off and approached Creo.
He tried to rouse Creo from sleep, saying "Sir, Sir mata."
But Creo did not wake up.
Witnesses said they heard two bursts of gunfire and saw the gunman shooting Creo twice on his body.
After the shooting, the gunman got back to the waiting motorcycle and fled toward the highway.
PO2 Marino Lofranco of the Homicide Section of the Mandaue City Police Office said the police have not determined the motive of the crime. (THE FREEMAN)
