Television set triggered fire?

CEBU, Philippines - Fire investigators suspect that an unattended television set could have triggered the blaze that destroyed a house in sitio New Paradise, barangay Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City yesterday morning.

Fire investigator Diomed Alburo said the fire, which destroyed the house of Bartolome Maureal, was controlled before fire fighters arrived.

According to Alburo, the owner of the house may have left the appliance unattended.

No one was reported injured. Damage to property was put at P60,000.

Alburo said that among the common causes of fires include unattended appliances and candle and faulty electrical.     (FREEMAN NEWS)
