CEBU, Philippines - A 21-year-old man was injured after he was shot along the New Road, Barangay Lorega-San Miguel, Cebu City at about 6 p.m. last Monday.
Shurvasco Galapan Bahala, maker of hanging rice locally known as “puso” and a resident of Sitio Kamansi in Loreg, was standing on the side of the road when a motorcycle with two men on board passed by him. One of the two men shot and hit him in the left leg.
The suspects, who sped towards Barangay Day-as, remain unidentified. No one from the area recognized the two.
Investigation by the Cebu City Homicide Section revealed that a caliber .22 pistol was used in the shooting, based from the empty shell found at the crime scene.
PO2 Michael Codaste said that personal grudge was the most probable motive for the shooting. — THE FREEMAN
