Maker of bogus police, military IDs falls

- Gabriel Bonjoc -

CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu City Police Office has arrested a man for manufacturing fake police identification cards and mission orders during an entrapment operation yesterday afternoon.

Jude Dayaon Frencillo, 40, resident of Basak-Pardo, was caught in the act of receiving the marked-money from an undercover policeman who ordered fake police and military IDs.

Bonifacio Garciano, chief of the Theft and Robbery Section, said they arrested Frencillo after almost two weeks surveillance. Garciano said they received information regarding Frencillo’s transaction prompting them to conduct surveillance.

Garciano said they ordered PNP and military IDs from Frencillo and agreed to meet at the downtown area to deliver the order. The venue however was changed to the uptown area where Frencillo was arrested.

Frencillo tagged a certain Lao as his alleged boss. The police would have arrested Lao who was there during the operation had it not for Frencillo’s withdrawal of his claim.

Aside from manufacturing fake police and military IDs, Frencillo also make fake mission orders. The police seized a USB from the possession of the suspect. The USB contained several designs of police and military IDs and even fake form of Transcript of Records and diplomas.

The police and military IDs were fake because only Camp Crame and AFP in Camp Aguinaldo can issue. Garciano said they will request the Regional Intelligence Division and the Military Intelligence Group to certify that they never issued authority to Frencillo to manufacture IDs for them.

Frencillo will be charged for falsification of public documents.  (FREEMAN NEWS)
