Four robbery gang members arrested
CEBU, Philippines - Police from barangay Opao in Mandaue City arrested four men for robbing a supervisor of a forwarding company who was waiting for a ride home last Tuesday night at past 11 o’clock.
Arrested in their respective homes were Junrey Aglag,18, of Bantayan sa Hari in barangay Looc, Narciso Hortelano,19, and Romar Paglinawan, both of sitio Pilapil in barangay Umapad, and James Carl Remulta, 19, of barangay Alang-alang, Mandaue City.
PO3 Protacio Tago said one of the four men pointed a knife at Racquel Racho Ibasco, 44, a supervisor of R.A.F International Forwarding Company, located at A.C. Avenue in barangay Cambara.
Taken from her was her bag containing P500, ATMs, credit cards, and two cellular phones.
But her co-workers who were inside the company premises witnessed the robbery and called the police.
When told the robbers went toward the interior portion of barangay Cambaro, the police immediately gave chase.
First to be arrested was Aglag. Found in his possession was Ibasco’s bag and a cellular phone.
Tago said Aglag identified his cohorts.
The other cell phone was found in Remulta’s possession.
Tago said all the four suspects are notorious in the neighborhood.
Paglinawan has a pending robbery case in court.
All four men are presently detained at the Opao police station pending the filing of a robbery case against them. (FREEMAN NEWS)
