Man falls with eleven packs of shabu

CEBU, Philippines - Police arrested a man with 11 packs of shabu in Perrelos, Carcar City early yesterday afternoon.

SPO1 Roland Navales, SPO1 Militon Agadier, PO3 Alex Padin, PO3 Joe Repompo and PO2 Rowena Santillan of the Carcar Police raided the residence of Roel Garces, 38, by virtue of a search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Gabriel Englis.

Aside from the 11 small heat sealed plastic packets of shabu, police also seized three open plastic packets containing shabu residue, 10 used and unused rolled tinfoil strips, four disposable lighters, and six bullets of a .375 caliber pistol. 

Photographs were taken during the search that was witnessed by an official of the barangay, and a media representative, as mandated by Section 21, Article 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

The police also informed Repompo of his offenses and Constitutional rights before he was brought to the Carcar Police Station.

Repompo is facing charges for violation of Section 11, Section 12 of RA 9165 in relation of Presidential Decree 1866, as amended by Republic Act 8294 for possession of live ammunition.

The seized substance and drug paraphernalia will be subject for laboratory examination. - Mylen P. Manto (THE FREEMAN)
