Two Pakistanis seek rape case dismissal
CEBU, Philippines - The two Pakistani nationals who were charged with rape by their 16-year-old househelp submitted their counter-affidavit to the prosecutor’s office to deny the allegations as they sought for the dismissal of the complaint.
Ahmael Ullah, 19, and Muhammad Nabi Gul Nabi, 31, were arrested last March 3 by Carcar City policemen after the victim, together with her mother, filed a complaint at the Cebu Provincial Prosecutor’s Office.
In her complaint, the girl said the accused took turns in raping her on March 1 inside their apartment where she was working.
But Ullah, in his affidavit, said the allegations were “lies and fabricated” since he did not force the girl to have sex with him as they were in a relationship.
Ullah said he met the complainant with a companion last February 27. He was with Nabi at that time since he could not speak and understand English and he needed a translator.
Ullah said that he and the girl become lovers and they spent time together, stressing that they even went to her house where she introduced him as his boyfriend to her family.
He said they learned that the girl was looking for a job as a househelp in the city. Ullah explained that he offered to take her as their helper at their apartment, which she reportedly accepted.
Ullah said the victim went with them to their apartment where they slept together and had sex considering that they were lovers.
He said that if the victim’s claim that he and his cousin “alternately raped” her on March 1 was true, she would not have stayed with them the next day.
Ullah also defended his cousin, saying that he was with the complainant the whole time and there was no chance that Nabi could have had time with his girlfriend.
“This case should be dismissed outright for being malicious and utterly based on lies and fabrications,” stated the counter-affidavit of the accused. — AJ de la Torre/LPM(FREEMAN NEWS)
