Woman arrested over death of her partner
CEBU, Philippines - Police arrested a 33-year-old woman for having allegedly stabbed her live-in partner while arguing last Thursday night inside their home in barangay Guizo, Mandaue City.
Romeo Delima, 40, died hours later at the Mandaue City Hospital.
Antonietta Alcala, 33, was arrested by policemen from the Mandaue City police station 1.
She claimed it was unintentional.
PO3 Herbert Pelayo said Alcala’s statement indicated that Delima came home drunk last Thursday and mauled their four year-old son without any provocation.
Pelayo said the couple started arguing, and at this point the man started beating her also.
Alcala allegedly got a knife from the kitchen and struck him on his back with it, Pelayo said.
