Man hacks, kills woman

CEBU, Philippines -  Police are considering personal grudge as the probable motive for the hacking and killing of a 35-year-old woman in barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City yesterday morning.

Virginia Igot, a resident of the Basak Eskwelahan, Lapu-Lapu City, did not reach the Lapu-Lapu City District Hospital alive.

Homicide police chief investigator SPO1 Rolito Jumao-as identified the suspect as Felix Lupanggo, 60, and jobless. Igot and Lupanggo were neighbors.

Police investigation showed that Igot and a cousin were walking together that morning without noticing that Lupanggo was behind them allegedly armed with a bolo.

After hacking Igot, Lupanggo fled. – Garry B. Lao    (FREEMAN NEWS)
