CEBU, Philippines - Ten days after her first visit to Cebu for this year, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will be here today for the President’s Cyber Corridor Tour at the Asiatown IT Park in Lahug, Cebu City.
The Office of the Press Secretary said that the tour will showcase PGMA’s IT Milestone Legacy Agency.
The OPS added that President Arroyo will demonstrate her ICT milestone achievement in the government’s advocacy and legacy agenda to provide jobs for Filipinos as outlined in her past SONA on the Cyber Corridor Super Region for the country.
Arroyo will arrive at the Mactan Cebu International Airport at 4:30 p.m. and will only stay here for an hour then she will go back to Manila after the event.
After her arrival, the President and her party will board a coaster for the said tour and will have a windshield inspection of the office buildings and cyber facilities at the Asiatown IT Park.
After which she will proceed to the Qualfon Quality Contact Services at Skyrise 3 building wherein she will view and have an interaction with applicants.
She will also be toured to the training and demonstration rooms and facilities and will proceed to the 11th floor to the Human Resource and Transformative approach for the IT professionals.
A brief program will then follow for the overview/briefing on IT developments in Cebu City by the Cebu Educational Development Foundation as well as audio-visual presentation on the President’s IT Milestone Legacy and Accomplishments.
The President will then have a media interaction after the presentation.
Asiatown IT Park is a 23-hectare property which was formerly the Lahug airport now transformed into the flagship project of Cebu Property Ventures and Development Corp. as the first IT Park accredited by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority in the Visayas and Mindanao.
