CEBU, Philippines - The three-day Suroy-Suroy Sugbo: Southern Heritage Trail will kick off today in Minglanilla town.
Governor Gwendolyn Garcia will lead the balikbayans and those who join this three-day activity to promote the southern municipalities.
Minglanilla Mayor Eduardo Selma and town officials will lead in welcoming Governor Garcia and visitors.
After Minglanilla, the tour will go to the City of Naga and the towns of San Fernando, Sibonga, Argao, Dalaguete, Alcoy and Boljoon.
The delegates will stay overnight in the town of Boljoon.
The following day, the visitors will start the Suroy-Suroy in the town of Oslob and go to Santander, Samboan, Ginatilan, Malabuyoc, Alegria, Badian and Moalboal.
The group will stay at the different beach resorts and hotels in Moalboal.
On the third day, the group will visit the town of Alcantara and the towns of Ronda, Dumanjug, Barili and the cities of Carcar and Talisay.
The closing program will be held in Talisay City where Mayor Socrates Fernandez will lead the city official in welcoming Garcia and other visitors.
Beach Resorts and Hotels in Southern Cebu assured their full support for the success of the activity in a meeting called by the governor.
