Bolo finds reelection bid difficult
CEBU, Philippines - Provincial Board member Juan Bolo, of the first district of Cebu, yesterday admitted that seeking a reelection come May 10 as an independent candidate is difficult, but he believes the people have known him already especially in the field of education.
Bolo’s name got “submerged” in controversy in relation to the Balili lot deal, though he denied making money out of the said transaction.
According to Bolo, he decided to seek reelection to prove that he is innocent of the accusation hurled against him and that he wants to continue his program in education.
“Daghan pa kaayo ko og mga plano aron pagpalambo sa education sa probinsya,” Bolo told The FREEMAN in an interview.
Even Governor Gwendolyn Garcia acknowledged Bolo’s big contribution to her administration in the field of education.
But she clarified that despite Bolo’s dedication and contribution, she will be supporting the candidate from Alayon because of her alliance with First District Rep. Eduardo Gullas. — Jose P. Sollano/MEEV (THE FREEMAN)
