CEBU, Philippines - A man allegedly known to be a notorious robber in Minglanilla was found dead on a grassy lot near the roadside in barangay Calajoan last Sunday dawn.
The body was identified to be that of Florante Sanchez Racho, 27 years old, single, a resident of Marian Village of the said town.
Initial investigation conducted by the police officers of Minglanilla revealed that a resident informed them of a dead man sprawled on a grassy lot.
When the responding officers arrived in the area, they found out that the victim sustained five stab wounds on various parts of his body.
PO2 Edcel Ricablanca, desk officer of the Minglanilla Police Station, said that some residents heard of a group of men chasing a man on Saturday evening.
Ricablanca said that neighbors of Racho were the ones who tagged him a “notorious robber” in their place and that Racho stabbed someone years back. He was also described as a “neighborhood toughie.”
“Naa na sad kuno ni siya’y gidunggab sa una. Naa man god ni siya’y kontra diri kay isugon lagi,” Ricablanca said.
