Suspected pusher falls in Cordova

CEBU, Philippines - A suspected bigtime pusher was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by operatives of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Barangay Ibabao, Cordova Wednesday night.

Jessie Tabanao, spokesperson of PDEA-7, identified the suspect as 41-year-old Javen Marcos Paco.

Tabanao said that during the buy-bust operation, a PDEA-7 agent and a confidential agent ordered P500 worth of shabu from the suspect.

Another PDEA agent acted as poseur-buyer who handed over the marked money to Paco in exchange of a sachet of shabu, which led to the suspect’s arrest.

The suspect reportedly run inside his house but PDEA operatives followed him inside and allegedly recovered a big pack of illegal drugs with a street value of P35,000.

Tabanao said prior to the operation, they had received complaints from the neighbors of the suspect about his illegal activities.

The PDEA spokesman added that they have long placed Paco under surveillance.

The suspect is now detained at the PDEA-7 detention cell and would be facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
