Suspect runs into wall while trying to flee cops

-

CEBU, Philippines - It was a perfect example of the long arm of the law catching a suspect.

This as a 38-year-old alleged drug pusher sustained injuries in his head when he tried to elude arrest in Tuburan town. The suspect was identified as Jefferson Gallarde, 38, a resident of the town.

The Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Task Force (PAIDSOT) together with two barangay officials were about to serve a search warrant issued by Judge Edito Enemecio of Regional Trial Court Danao City.

The suspect sensing he was in trouble with the law tried to flee by running away only to hit a wall resulting to head injuries.

The authorities were trying to do a buy bust prior to serving the warrant.

Gallarde, reportedly, was the one who negotiated with the poseur buyer.

When he was searched, police found 16 small packs and two medium packs of white crystalline substance believed to be methampethamine hydrochloride or shabu in Gallarde’s possession. — Gabriel Bonjoc/NLQ (THE FREEMAN)
