CEBU, Philippines - A 16-year-old girl has filed charges of rape and qualified seduction before the City Prosecutors Office yesterday against an alleged NBI asset who charged them with robbery extortion recently.
The girl, in her affidavit, said that the asset, who is also a businessman, lured her to have sexual relations in exchange for an offer to send her to college.
The girl said it was last March 2008 when she and the accused met at the Abellana National High School as she was a dancer in one of the school’s programs.
The following day, one of the school’s scholars texted and told her that the accused wanted to see her to discuss her future.
But she was also told the scholarship was only valid if she took up Nursing.
She said she enrolled in Nursing in another school and this was when the accused started texting her and calling her even for matters of no importance. Thinking that she owed him a huge favor, she decided to be polite in dealing with him.
On several occasions the accused allegedly invited her out but she refused but he eventually convinced her by coursing his messages through other people.
Last October 17, 2008, the accused fetched her from school and told her that they will go first to Minglanilla town but will not be staying long because he has a project in the place. While inside his car the accused told her that he needs some rest as he is very sleepy.
To convince her, he even swerved the car left and right and told her that he cannot focus on driving. She asked him to just park on the side but the accused allegedly told her that it would be best to take his rest inside a hotel. She refused.
But the accused allegedly brandished his gun in front of her. Afraid of getting hurt, she had no choice but to go with him to Queensland Hotel in Talisay City where he allegedly raped her.
She also said the accused was able to take advantage of her again and again because she was afraid the accused might kill her or cut off her allowance and scholarship.
When she asked him to finally leave her alone the accused allegedly offered her and her sister money. She said they were only surprised when they were caught in an entrapment operation by the NBI.— Jasmin R. Uy/BRP (FREEMAN NEWS)
