CEBU, Philippines - One person was killed and another one was hurt in a motorcycle accident along a road in Barangay Ibo, Toledo City last Friday evening.
Police said Joel Abellana, 26, a passenger of the motorcycle driven by Eleazar Abellana died at the nearest hospital due to severe physical injuries. Both of them are residents of Barangay Ilihan, Toledo City but the police could not yet determine how the two victims are related.
SPO3 Gil Lastimosa of Toledo City Police Station said that the two victims were riding the motorcycle, bearing plate numbers 3991-GP, from Toledo City and were on their way to the nearby Pinamungajan town.
But while negotiating on the national road, Eleazar allegedly lost control of the speeding motorcycle causing it to swerve, making them fall to the cemented road.
The victims were rushed to the nearest hospital but after a few hours of treatment, Joel was proclaimed dead due to serious injuries he sustained in the different parts of his body while the driver was already declared out of danger. — Gabriel C. Bonjoc/WAB (FREEMAN NEWS)
