Argao man shot dead while eating "balut"
CEBU, Philippines - Two brothers allegedly shot to death a 31-year-old man while the latter was said to be eating “balut” and having a beer in barangay Poblacion, municipality of Argao last Wednesday evening.
Antonio Sumampong, single, jobless and a resident of the said place, sustained fatal wounds on his head and right leg.
The suspects were identified as Tady Saniel and his brother Dondon, both of legal ages and residents also of the said place.
Initial investigation revealed that the victim was eating “balut” and drinking beer when the suspects arrived at the scene.
Dondon allegedly punched the victim first. Afterwards, Tady reportedly pulled out a gun of undetermined caliber and shot the victim four times.
The suspects fled while the victim was taken to the Isidro Kintanar Memorial Hospital but failed to make it there alive.
