Robbery suspects charged

CEBU, Philippines - Prosecutors elevated to court robbery charges against a man who robbed two call center agents at the Asiatown IT Park last September 17.

A bail of P100,000 was recommended for Roel Montellano and his companion Gersam Armecin. They were arrested by security personnel of IT Park just shortly after the robbery.

The victims, Marnilo Go and Manuel Baring, alleged Montellano held them up with a gun and demanded for their mobile phones and wallet.

The suspects then tried to flee using a motorcycle but security personnel accosted them before they could leave the park’s vicinity. After frisking the suspects, the police personnel recovered the victims’ belongings from Montellano.
