Firearm, knives found inside PUJ

CEBU, Philippines - The police have recovered dangerous weapons abandoned inside a passenger jeepney shortly before midnight last Saturday on M.J. Cuenco, Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.

Elements of Mabolo Police Station found inside a public utility jeepney a “paltik” caliber .357 revolver without serial number with one live bullet and two improvised knives, measuring 12 and 10 inches.

Sr. Insp. Erlando Metante, PO3 Arnulfo Aventajado,PO2 Mario Agda, and PO1 Noel Melecio Belicario, assisted by the Police Auxiliary Force were conducting a checkpoint in the area and when they checked the vehicle they found the weapons inside.
