Man stabbed 18 times in Ronda
CEBU, Philippines - An unidentified man with stab wounds on different parts of his body was found lifeless in barangay Langing in the western town of Ronda last Saturday afternoon.
Residents of barangay Langing said they never heard any commotion before they found the man, which made them believe that he might have been killed somewhere else and was merely dumped in the barangay.
Responding policemen from the neighboring town of Argao said the man sustained 18 stab wounds.
The fatality was described as 5’2 in height with medium built and is estimated to be between 25 to 30 years old.
PO2 Socrates Avela of the Ronda police said they will start an investigation to determine the victim and the suspect, as well as the motive of the killing. Avela said they have received information that the fatality was mentally ill.
“Naa ju’y posibilidad nga kontra-kontra jud ni sila pero ang uban sad mu-ingon man nga mentally incapacitated ni ang biktima,” Avela said.
