LBC branch burglarized
CEBU, Philippines - Unidentified perpetrators broke into a delivery branch of LBC Express located in Poblacion East, Moalboal and ran away with some P57,000 worth of property and cash last Sunday morning.
Jose Plarisan, 27, one of the employees of the establishment reported the said incident to the authorities.
He said that while he and his friends, Trishel and Shane Alves, were walking and passed by their office, which located in the town’s public market, he noticed that the padlock of the steel door was already lost. As an employee, he added he felt concerned and checked what happened but as he opened the door of their office, he found out that the glass window was already broken and when he looked around he learned that the steel vault already gone.
With this, he immediately called the assistance of the police who quickly responded to the area to investigate.
Police said the unidentified perpetrators gained entrance to the establishment by breaking the door’s padlock with the use of iron bar.
Emma Grace Jimenez, 24, in-charge of the establishment said the burglars stole the steel vault that costs about P30,000 pesos and contained cash worth P27,000 as their proceeds.
Police said they have no idea who did the crime which they believe might have happened in the wee hours of the morning when no one was around. — Gabriel C. Bonjoc/WAB
