Danao cops arrest suspected pusher

CEBU, Philippines - A 36-year-old suspected drug pusher was arrested by Danao City police in barangay Poblacion Monday evening.

 Samuel Lao Siacan was arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted by Danao City policemen led by PO2 Vilma Degamo.

Police received a report from a concerned citizen informing them that Siacan had been involved in illegal drug trade in their barangay.

 At around 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Danao City policemen conducted buy-bust operation with one of them posed as poseur-buyer using a P100 marked money.

 The buyer was able to negotiate with Siacan to buy a small pack of shabu. When the suspect accepted the marked money, police immediately arrested him.

 Upon further frisking, the suspect yielded four more small packs of suspected shabu.

 Siacan is now detained at Danao City Police Station and the pieces of evidence recovered from him were brought to police crime laboratory for examination. — Gabriel C. Bonjoc/LPM (THE FREEMAN)
