Man hacks wife's lover

-

CEBU, Philippines - A carpenter hacked and stabbed a plumber who he caught having sex with his wife in Barangay Kangwayan, Madridejos last Monday night.

Geraldo Jagdon, 34, a plumber of Madridejos Water System and resident of T. Alonso Street, Barangay Poblacion sustained several hack and stab wounds in the different parts of his body and was rushed to Bantayan District Hospital for treatment.

The suspect, Danilo Desabille, 44, a carpenter, was arrested by the police during a hot pursuit operation.

Desabille admitted the crime and surrendered an eight-inch hunting knife and a 19-inch bolo that he used in attacking Jagdon.

The suspect disclosed that at around 10 p.m., he arrived home from his work and was surprised when he saw his wife, Fideliza having sex with Jagdon on the bamboo bed placed at the back of their house.

Enraged, Desabille said he took a bolo and hunting knife inside their house and stabbed and hacked the victim several times.

Despite his wounds, the victim managed to escape and run towards the house of the barangay captain, who rushed him to Bantayan District Hospital.

But in an interrogation with Jagdon at the hospital, he denied the accusations of the suspect saying he and Fideliza were just talking and he was shocked when Desabille suddenly attacked him.

The victim sustained hack wounds at the back of his body, upper left chest, on his right hand and a stab wound at the right side of his body.

Desabille is now detained at Madridejos Police Station while waiting for the filing of charges against him. — Gabriel C. Bonjoc/WAB (THE FREEMAN)
