Man charged in court for "molesting" minors
CEBU, Philippines - A man, believed to be a homosexual, is facing two counts of sexual abuse charges in court after he allegedly molested two six-year-old boys in barangay Jaclupan, Talisay City last March.
The two boys reported the incident to the police together with their mothers, alleging that Benjie Tanodra also known as “Banjie” molested them when they went to his house on March 30, 2009.
They reportedly went to Tanodra’s house because they were promised to be given bread. However, when they arrived there, Tanodra did not give them any but instead allegedly touched and played with their private parts.
The prosecutor’s office sent a subpoena to the respondent for him to formally answer the charges but Tanodra failed to do so, thus, the filing of the case in court. — Jasmin R. Uy/JMO (THE FREEMAN)
