Recognition due for best report on nutrition, hunger mitigation
CEBU, Philippines - The National Nutrition Council Central Visayas (NNC-7) is calling the Cebu Media to participate in the Accelerated Hunger Mitigation Program-Promotion of Good Nutrition (AHMP-PGN) Media Awards, a coverage competition which will begin on September this year.
The contest is open to all print, broadcast, online and photojournalist regionwide with works related to nutrition, food, hunger, malnutrition and diet-related illness.
NNC-7 head Parolita Mission said that the competition is their way to show recognition to the members of the press who have been helping them in one way or another in disseminating information about nutrition.
Entries eligible to join will be those published, aired or posted between September to December 2009 which may either be in Cebuano or English.
Interested parties may send as many entries in their chosen category. Categories include Best News Reportage, Best Opinion of Editorial Piece, Best Investigative Report, Best Feature Article, Best Radio Program, Special Production of Media Agencies, Best Single Photo and Best Photo Essay.
For print and online entries, submission may be via postal service or electronic mail. If sent by postal service, it must be printed on legal-sized bond paper with date and name of publication or web address and must be sealed in a brown envelope.

For broadcast entries, it should consist of at least two separate broadcasts, either spot reports or commentaries. Entries shall be in cassette tape or Compact Disk format with program title, dates and time of broadcast along with a summary of its content.
Photos may be submitted through mail and should be in JPEG format. Caption and proof of publication must be included.
