CEBU, Philippines – Elements of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency arrested a suspected bigtime drug pusher during a raid on his house in sitio Lawis, barangay Pasil, Cebu City yesterday morning.
Arrested by virtue of a search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 17 Judge Silvestre Maamo was Evangelito Ceniza.
PDEA regional director Randy Pedroso and his operatives searched the two-storey house of Ceniza and confiscated four packs of suspected shabu and paraphernalia.
“Dili lang una ko mo-comment ana,” Ceniza said when asked about his alleged involvement in illegal drug trade. Pedroso said Ceniza is a bigtime drug pusher in the city.
“Mohalin gani ni siya (Ceniza) og tag P50,000 karong bag-o unya sa Mayo ning tuiga nakahalin siya og P100,000. Kusog g’yud ang palit ani niya,” Pedroso said.
A PDEA operative said Ceniza sold his stuff at the lowest price.
“Ang ubang mga drug dealers mobaligya og tag P35,000 matag bulto pero siya (Ceniza) tag P28,000 ra. Barato gyud kaayo siguro daghan siya og supplier,” the operative told ABS-CBN TV Patrol Cebu.
Ceniza was then charged before Cebu City Prosecutor’s Office.
His wife, Divina, was reportedly arrested for illegal drugs by CIDG personnel. She posted bail and was temporarily out of jail. — Ramil V. Ayuman/LPM (THE FREEMAN)
