Man killed in road accident

CEBU, Philippines – A 43-year-old man was killed while his companion was injured when the motorcycle they were driving was accidentally bumped by a passenger bus in Bogo.

Julius Sumalinog Inog, a resident of Tabogon, was driving a Yamaha motorcycle from Paulin Street to Bogo Plaza with Majed Neiz, 27, when a Ceres Bus bound for San Remigio hit his motorcycle.

Inog, who was thrown two meters away, was killed instantly while Majed sustained injuries to different parts of her body.

She was rushed to Bogo District Hospital.

The driver of the bus, Joel Comeros, 41, of Cambaro Mandaue City, is currently detained at the Bogo Police Station awaiting charges to be filed in court against him. — Ana Coritha Desamparado/LPM (THE FREEMAN)
