Sta. Fe officials pay Gwen visit
CEBU, Philippines - Santa Fe, Bantayan, officials led by Mayor Jennifer Illustrisimo paid a courtesy call to Governor Gwendolyn Garcia yesterday.
Garcia said the visit was “historical” as it was first time that a mayor came to her office not just with her municipal council but with all her barangay captains as well.
For some of the barangay captains, it was their first time in the Capitol building. Illustrisimo and her constituents were shown audio-visual presentations of the projects of the Governor such as the One Visayas and the One Cebu exhibits.
Garcia said although she did not win in Sta. Fe during the 2004 elections, she still continues to support the municipality when it comes to power, water and education projects.
