DOH slates workshop for sanitary inspectors

CEBU, Philippines - The central office of the Department of Health has directed the DOH-7 to conduct an orientation workshop to all sanitary inspectors in Cebu on proper water sanitation and hygiene (WASH) during emergencies.

The move is aimed at developing the capabilities of inspectors on sanitation and hygiene during emergencies and to keep them updated on health issues.

The workshop will be held at the Narra Conference Hall of the DOH Regional Office at 9 a.m. on April 28. Topics include emergency sanitation, disaster management, among others.

Speakers are Dr. Expedito Medalla, regional health emergency management service coordinator, and Engr. Evangeline Cañoneo, regional environment health center coordinator.
