2-day farming seminar slated
CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu Integrated Farmers' Multi-Purpose Cooperative (CIFMPC) will hold a two-day farming seminar in two different venues from April 25 to 26.
The seminar will have a farm visit and hands-on demonstration to give participants extensive training and comprehensive information on different farming techniques.
The first day of the event will be held at the Conference Hall of the Department of Agriculture-7 on M. Velez Street, Cebu City. Topic will be basic swine production.
The second day is composed of hands-on and demonstration on natural farming system, organic preparation of feeds on livestock and vermi-composting. It will be held at the CIFMPC Farm in Dumanjug town.
CIFMPC officer Dr. Anne Atillo said that farmers will learn to use organic feeds to minimize the expenses on artificial feeds for their swine.
The seminar will teach farmers the Korean method of raising swine for a more efficient, less costly and environment-friendly livestock business.
