CentCom says Bayan Muna leader not in "order of battle"

CEBU, Philippines - The Central Command has confirmed that Paul Rodriguez, a leader of Bayan Muna-Central Visayas, is not in the order of battle of the Philippine Army Central Command spokesperson Major Christopher Tampus said Rodriguez was “never included” in the order of battle.

The Central Command made verification and confirmation after it received a court notice of the Petition for Habeas Data Rodriguez had filed to have his name deleted from the order of battle, which reportedly came from the AFP.

But Tampus said the copy of the order of battle that Rodriguez acquired did not come from the army because it does not even have the heading or marking to prove that is an authentic AFP document.

He said it is possible that the document might have come from the New People’s Army.

Tampus said they hope that the clarification would clear the name of Central Command, Sr. Supt. Carmelo Valmoria, and the police officers who were made respondents of the petition. – Christopher Gabriel Bonjoc and Guam Logroño/JMO (THE FREEMAN)
