Police arrest two brothers for having guns
CEBU, Philippines – Two brothers were arrested by policemen in the New Medellin public market in barangay Poblacion of the said town last Sunday evening at around 6:30 p.m. after they were found with unlicensed guns.
The two were identified as Ale Arriesgado, 38, and Efren Arriesgado, 48, both residents of Dalingding Sur of the said town.
PO2 Rodelo Pilapil Jr. of Medellin police said that they received an anonymous tip regarding armed persons inside the public market.
SPO1 Vincent Canama together with other police officers responded to the alarm. When they saw the two suspects they immediately introduced themselves as lawmen and frisked the two.
The responding law enforcers confiscated a .45 cal. pistol with seven live rounds and one extra magazine with six live rounds from Ale. Efren was also caught with a .357 magnum revolver with two live rounds.
Pilapil said that Ale has a pending warrant in Liloan town but they will also check with other police station if the two have pending cases.
The police officers also received a report that the two suspects were both hired killers but this is something they have yet to verify. — Christopher Gabriel Bonjoc/BRP (THE FREEMAN)
