CEBU, Philippines – Charges for robbery may be filed by the police tomorrow against two men who participated in the Fooda Saver’s Mart heist last Monday.
As reported, police already named the said two robbers but would like to exhaust all efforts to arrest them first.
Chief Insp. George Ylanan, chief of Investigation and Detective Management Branch, said the charges may be filed tomorrow.
“Tan-awon lang ang progress sa manhunt operation, but we will possibly file on Monday,” Ylanan said.
Ylanan said that one of the security guards identified the two robbers. Upon checking police records, it was also found out that the two were involved in previous robbery incidents.
Cebu City Police Office director Sr. Supt. Patrocinio Comendador, Jr. said a complaint of robbery can immediately be filed against the suspects.
The investigation showed that the group of eight heavily-armed men who pulled off the heist at Fooda at 12:20 a.m., Monday, is not based in Cebu but have local contacts here.
The team led by Ylanan was tasked to work on identifying the local contacts.
