CEBU, Philippines - Lectures on photography and cultural vibrancy in governance were conducted yesterday by the Philippine Press Photographers in Cebu and by Alphonsus Tesoro from Capiz, respectively, on the seventh day of the “One Visayas” event at the Cebu International Convention Center.
Neither of the Bigfoot Entertainment nor the National Commission for Culture and the Arts was able to push through with the lecture on musical scoring and sound engineering for film yesterday, but the NCCA carried out in the afternoon the lecture on how to apply for grants.
Prior to the NCCA lecture, Samar presented the “Balangiga Encounter 1901” at the plenary hall.
Negros Occidental held a “Rondalla Concert.” Other performers were from the Kabataang Silay Ensemble. This was followed by the street dancing activity.
Outdoor performances showcased the Tubod Festival of Tuburan, Halad-Inasal of Talisay City, Sugat-Kabanhawan of Minglanilla, Hinulawan Festival of Toledo, Haladaya Festival of Daanbantayan, Banig Festival of Badian, Utanon Festival of Dalaguete, and Karansa Festival of Danao City.
