CEBU, Philippines - Southwestern University Graduate School Alumni Association announces the 3rd Alumni Homecoming and Recognition Rites on Saturday, February 28 in SWU main campus.
SWU Graduate School alumnus Rev. Fr. Marcelino Tubac will be the celebrant of the Holy Mass at 1 p.m. in the Interfaith Chapel.
Department of Health-Central Visayas regional director Dr. Susana Madarieta, SWU-GS alumna, will be the speaker of the lecture at 2:30 p.m. at the Audio-Visual Room M3. Recognition rites and cultural presentation will be held at 5:30 p.m.
Dr. Alexander Mancao, president of the said association, and Mr. Pierre Infante, Alumni Affairs director, will present the awardees while SWU president Dr. Eldigario Gonzales, lawyer Climaco Camiso, president of the SWU Alumni Foundation, Inc.; and Dean Rouel Longinos will present the awards to the outstanding alumni and special awardees.
The Graduate School faculty choir, University choir, and dance troupe will be featured during the testimonial dinner.
The Graduate School will also culminate on the same day of the celebration of the National Arts Month at 9 a.m. with Prof. Jose Eleazar Bersales, of the University of San Carlos, as lecturer on the topic “Revisiting Philippine Arts;” and opening of the art exhibit.
The annual Obra Kultura, a cultural presentation, will be held on March 1 at the Aznar Coliseum. Anchored on the theme “Ani ng Sining”, the presentation will showcase the cultural songs and dances choreographed by the Human Kinetics students.
