CEBU, Philippines - Motorists who would be using the vacant lot fronting the Asiatown IT Park to park would soon be paying parking fees.
Last January 30, the Provincial Economic Enterprise Council (PECC) passed a resolution approving the pay parking rates for the use of the area fronting the IT Park.
Board Member Juan Bolo, chairman of the Provincial Board committee on provincial and municipal properties, said the parking fee at the IT Park is the same rate imposed on vehicles parked at the Capitol area.
Last Monday, the PB approved the resolution passed by the PECC imposing a pay parking scheme on vehicles parked in front of the IT Park.
The provincial government will be collecting a parking fee of P20 for the first two hours and P10 for the succeeding hour.
For buses, the parking fee will be P40 for two hours and P20 for the succeeding hour while for motorcycle will be P10 for two hours and P5 for the succeeding hour.
“The board finds it reasonable, thus adopting the resolution passed by the Economic Enterprise Council, prescribing the rates of parking fees,” a PB resolution said. — Garry B. Lao/LPM (THE FREEMAN)
