TF lensman wins in Jolly Smile tilt

-

CEBU – The FREEMAN photojournalist Angelito “Joy” Torrejos recently won the grand prize in the first Sinulog Photo Contest sponsored by Jollibee Foods Corporation entitled “1,2,3 Jolly Smile.”

His winning entry, taken along Osmeña Boulevard during the Sinulog grand parade last January 18, captured the Jollibee mascot entertaining a crowd of revelers.

Torrejos received a trophy, Jollibee gift certificates worth P3,000; and a unit of Lexmark printer.

Lemuel Sayson Madera and Marvin Arroyo Bonjoc settled in the second and third places, respectively.

Madera won a mobile phone kit with SIM pack and load credits; and GCs worth P2,000. Bonjoc received a cell phone kit with SIMpack and load credits, too, plus GCs worth P1,000. Jollibee Foods Corp. also awarded gift certificates worth P500 to 10 consolation prize winners.

Awarding took place at the JFC regional office on P. del Rosario and Pelaez Streets, this city, last February 6.

The competition was launched during the Sinulog week and Jollibee started accepting entries until January 20.

The contest was open to all Jollibee customers and participants who were allowed to use any kind of camera, may it be a professional, digital, or cellular phone cam.

Chosen entries were those which have captured both a Jolly moment inside the Jollibee store or out on the street under the Sinulog ambiance.

Torrejos had also won in various photo competitions in the past. To mention a few, he bagged the grand prize during the Mantawi Festival Photo Contest in 2005 where he received P30,000 cash; 4th prize in the 2002 Sinulog Photo Contest, and 2nd prize during the 2007 Inasal Festival Photo Contest in Talisay City. — Jessica Ann R.
