Cebu - A masseuse has filed a criminal complaint for reckless imprudence resulting to serious physical injuries against a policeman, whose motorcycle allegedly collided with hers resulting to her fractured leg.
Imelda Dela Peña Jumao-as, a resident of barangay Kalunasan, Cebu City, said she was on her way to Tabuelan town to do a home service to some of her relatives there.
According to Jumao-as, while she was on her way to Tabuelan on board a motorcycle driven by Jose Jack Encarnacion Botaya, they met another motorcycle in sitio Tapon, barangay Tabunok, Tabuelan.
The motorcycle was allegedly zigzagging towards the complainant’s direction and it eventually collided with their vehicle. Jumao-as said she later learned that the motorcycle was driven by SPO1 Raymund Jugan.
Jumao-as claimed that the policeman was drunk while driving, saying that after the incident, she suffered a fractured right leg.
She said she tried to seek help from the accused but he allegedly refused to indemnify her.
She likewise alleged to have already exhausted administrative remedy with the Regional Internal Affairs Service and the Commission on Human Rights but it was futile.
Jumao-as said the incident has forced her to stop working to earn a living for herself to her four kids. — Fred P. Languido/LPM (THE FREEMAN)
