Three men hurt in motorcycle crash
Cebu - Three men landed at the hospital after the motorcycle they were riding hit the post of a streetlight along the national highway in barangay Liloan, Santander town last Saturday midnight.
They were identified as Johnrey Catipay, 22, Johnrey Buhian and Nerison Buhian, all residents of barangay Dalahican, Samboan town.
PO1 Leonixto Solon of the Santander police said that although the victim were no longer at the scene when they arrived, witnesses said Catipay was driving a Rusi Mike motorcycle with plate number IK-7933 and the two others were riding pillion when the accident happened.
The victims were allegedly on their way home to Samboan from drinking.
But upon reaching the place, Catipay lost control of the motorcycle and hit the column of a street light along the national road.
The impact threw the three victims away from the vehicle and they sustained serious injuries in the different parts of their bodies.
Concerned citizens who saw the incident immediately helped the victims and rushed them to Oslob District Hospital.
However, due to the severe injuries that they sustained, the three were later transferred to a hospital in Cebu City. — Christopher Gabriel Bonjoc/WAB (THE FREEMAN)
