Fire hits Mandaue barangay

CEBU - A fire razed three houses in barangay Cambaro, Mandaue City past 6 a.m. yesterday.

FO2 Cipriano Cordilla Jr., investigator of the Mandaue City Fire Station, said that the fire occurred in New Ville Subdivision in G. Ouano Street believed to have been caused by electrical short circuit. 

Damage was estimated to have reached P200,000 with another two houses destroyed.

Cordilla said that the fire was controlled within seven minutes and was totally put out 15 minutes after with the help of firefighters from the Cebu City Fire Station, Philippine Air Force Fire Brigade, Consolacion Fire Station, and the Filipino-Chinese Volunteer Fire Brigade; as well as the Emergency Rescue Unit Foundation, and the Accident Control and Emergency Rescue Team.
